A man aged in his 50's is expected to appear before a sitting of Dublin District Court (C.C.J.3) this morning (3/2/2012) charged following a fire at Meath Street on the 2nd January 2012.

Gardai at Kevin Street are investigating the circumstances of a fire at a Church on Meath St on the 2nd January 2012.
At approximately 1640 hours Gardai and Fire Services were called when a fire broke out at a church on Meath Street. The fire was brought under control by units of the Fire Services at approximately 1815 hours. The scene is preserved pending a full technical examination.
A man aged in his 50's was arrested and is currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Kevin Street Garda Station.
