Gardai at Blanchardstown are appealing for witnesses following a shooting incident in Hartstown on the 25th January 2012.
At approximately 18.50 hours a lone gunman approached a car as it pulled out of a driveway at house on Cherryfield View and shot the front seat passenger, a male aged in his 30's, a number of times. The injured man was taken by Ambulance to Connolly Hosptial. The driver of the car was unharmed. The gunman escaped on foot in the direction of Portersgate.
The scene has been preserved pending a technical examination and an incident room has been set up a Blancahardstown Garda Station.
