Gardaí in Wexford are investigating the death of a man that occurred in the early hours of this morning, Wednesday 25th January 2012.
Shortly after mid-night a 27 year old man answered a call to the door of his home in Hollyville Heights and was involved in an altercation with the male caller.
During the course of this altercation the man received stab wounds and was taken to Wexford General Hospital. He died as a result of his injuries some time later.
The scene is being preserved at present and the services of the Garda Technical Bureau and the State Pathologist have been requested.
