Firearm recovered and two males arrested in Limerick on the 11/1/12

Gardai attached to the Regional Response Unit based at Henry Street Garda Station today, the 11th Jan 2012 stopped a car at Ballincurra Weston, Limerick.

They recovered a revolver (subject to ballistic examination).

 
The Gardai stopped the car at approx 4pm in Ballincurra Weston, during the course of a search of the car the Gardai located a revolver.  Two males (44 & 45yrs) were arrested and are being detained under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended at Henry Street and Roxboro Road Garda Stations.
