Gardai at New Ross are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred on the R733 at Haggard, Ramsgrange, New Ross, on the 1st of January 2012.
At approximately 1330 hours a woman, aged in her late 60's, was fatally injured when the motor car she was driving collided with a ditch. She was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger, aged in her 70's, was taken by ambulance to Wexford General Hospital.
The scene was examined by forensic collision investigators and the road has since re-opened to traffic.
