Gardai at Bailieboro are appealing for witnesses following a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision at Virginia, Co Cavan, on the 1st of January 2012.
At approximately 2am a 22 year old male was fatally injured when the motor car he was driving left the carriageway on the N3 at Virginia and collided with a wall. He was pronounced dead at the scene. His body has been removed to Cavan General Hospital for a post mortem examination.
The scene is preserved pending a technical examination and diversions are in place.
