Gardai in Westport are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision in Louisburgh on the 2nd January 2012.
The collision occurred at approx 12.35am on the 2nd January 2012 at Kilsallagh which is 4 miles outside Louisburgh on the Westport to Louisburgh Road. One male (52yrs) was seriously injured in the collision and pronounced dead at the scene he was a passanger in the vehicle. The driver (23 yrs) and a second passenger (19yrs) in the vehicle were uninjured in the collision.
The road is closed for a Forensic Collision examination and diversions are in place.
