As a result of an ongoing operation by the Divisional Drug Unit in Mullingar, assisted by local Gardai and Regional Response Units -
two searches were carried out in Mullingar on the 9th January 2012. During the operation a total of 450 cannabis plants (pending analysis) were seized with an approximate street value of €180,000.
A male (28yrs) was arrested during the operation, he is being detained under the provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended at Mullingar Garda Station.
The houses searched were in Ardleigh Park and Clonmore Heights in Mullingar. Both had sophisticated cultivation processes in operation.
