Gardai in Clontarf are investigating the discovery of a number of firearms ammunition and explosive material at Distillery Road, Dublin 3 on the 27th January 2012.
The discovery was made this afternoon (27/1/2012) when Gardai searched the grounds of an apartment complex on Distillery Road. During the search a number of firearms, ammunition and explosive material (subject to examination) was recovered. The area was sealed off for a number of hours and made safe by Army E.O.D. personnel. A full examination of the scene has taken place and all of the items removed for forensic examination.
