Gardai have arrested three males as part of the investigation into the murder of Ger McMahon on the 18th of January 2012.
Two males aged in their 20's were arrested this afternoon (25/1/2012), in the Limerick area. They are both detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, at Roxboro Road and Mayorstone Garda Stations.
A man aged in his 30's arrested yesterday afternoon (24/1/2012), also in the Limerick area, is detained under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, 1939, at Bruff Garda Station.
This brings to 6 the number of persons arrested in relation to this investigation.

Gardai in Roxboro Road Garda Station investigating the murder of Ger McMahon on Lenihan Avenue on 18th January 2012 have arrested three persons in relation to this murder.
All three were arrested this morning, the 23rd January 2012 in the Mungret area of Limerick. One male (30's), a female in her 40's and a female juvenile are all detained under the provisions of Section 30, Offences Again The State Act, 1939. They are being held at Henry Street, Mayorstone and Roxboro Road Garda Station.

Gardai at Roxboro Road are investigating all of the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Limerick on the 18th January 2012.
At approximately 0035 hours a 43 year old male was found with serious injuries at Lenihan Ave. He was taken by ambulance to the Mid-Western Regional Hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The scene is preserved pending a technical examination and the State Pathologist has been notified.
