Fatal road traffic collision on the N3 in Cavan on the 15/2/12

Gardai in Cavan are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that occurred on the N3 at Lavey, Stradone at approximately 7.45pm on the 15/2/12.

A male pedestrian in his 60’s was seriously injured when he was struck by a car and was taken to Cavan Regional Hospital where he later died as a result of his injuries. The driver of the car was uninjured. 
 

The road was closed for a time to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and has since reopened.
