Gardai at Thomastown are investigating a fatal road traffic collision at Shambough, New Ross, Co Wexford on the 16th February 2012.
The collision occurred at approx 6.25pm on the 16th February 2012, a truck and a car were involved in the collision. The female (35yrs) driver and only occupant of the car was seriously injured and taken to Waterford Regional Hospital. She was pronounced dead on the evening of the 17th February 2012. The driver of the articulated lorry was uninjured.
The road was closed for a Garda Forensic Collision Examination but has since re-opened.
