As part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of drugs members of the Garda National Drugs Unit carried out a search at an apartment in the Inchicore area of Dublin earlier today (7/2/2012).
During the search Gardai seized Ecstasy tablets (60,000 approx), Herbal Cannabis, Cocaine and Heroine with a total estimated street value of €650,000 (subject to analysis).
Two men, aged in their 50's and 30's, were arrested. They are currently detained at Kevin Street and Kilmainham Garda Stations under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 2006.
As part of the same investigation members of the Garda National Drugs Unit and Ballyfermot Drugs Unit seized Heroine with an estimated street value of €150,000 (subject to analysis) when they carried out a search at an apartment complex in Chapelizod yesterday evening (6/2/2012).
A man aged in his 20's was arrested at the scene. He has since been released pending the preparation of a file for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
