Gardaí at Togher investigating a fatal assault in Passage West, Cork on the 19th January 2012 have renewed their appeal for information.
It is believed that a number of cars may have passed the scene of the incident and investigating officers are anxious to speak to these drivers as they may be in a position to help with the investigation. These cars drove in the direction of Passage West and towards Douglas past the scene.

Gardaí at Togher are investigating all the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a man in his 20’s at Cork Road, Passage West at approximately 11.45 pm last night (19th January 2012).
A man (20's) has been arrested in connection with this incident and is currently detained in Togher Garda Station under Section 4 of The Criminal Justice Act, 1984.
The scene at Cork Road, Passage West is currently preserved for a Gardaí technical examination. Diversions are in place.
