Six men are expected to appear before a sitting of Waterford District Court this morning (5th December 2012) charged in connection with this investigation.

Gardaí in the South Kilkenny / Waterford area investigating organised crime have carried out a number of searches and arrested six people this morning (3/12/12)
The operation was launched from Thomastown Garda Station early this morning. Six men were arrested (late 20’s to early 40’s) They are detained in Thomastown/ Waterford/ Wexford Garda Stations under Section 50 – Criminal Justice Act 2007.
A number of items were seized during the operation.
Investigations are continuing.
