The body of a man discovered at an apartment in Ballymun on the 5th December 2012 has been identified as 31-year-old Mr Kamal El Habsati, a Dutch Citizen of Moroccan descent.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with information to contact them at the incident room at Ballymun Garda Station 01-6664400, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.

Shortly after 4 pm on Wednesday, the 5th December 2012, Gardai received a ‘999’ call regarding the discovery of a body at an apartment block called Linnbhla at Santry Cross, Ballymun, Dublin.
The body was discovered in a first floor apartment and the victim is believed to have suffered a knife wound. The deceased is a foreign national aged between 30 and 40 years and we are working with international partners to establish the man's identity.
The area was sealed off and a technical examination by crime scene examiner from the Garda Technical Bureau is underway. The State Pathologist Dr. Marie Cassidy has attended the scene and has carried out a preliminary examination.
The body will be removed to the City Morgue and a post mortem examination is expected to be carried out at 10 am on the 6th December.
A murder investigation has begun and Gardaí are asking anyone with information, particularly anyone who was at or near the apartment complex between Friday 30th November and today 5th December, to contact then at an incident room which has been set up at Ballymun Garda station, telephone 01 666 4400 or on the Garda Confidential line 1800 666 111.

Gardai are investigating the discovery of the body of a man in Ballymun this afternoon 5th December 2012.
The body was discovered in an apartment at Linnbhla Apartments, Ballymun shortly after 4.00pm. The man's age can not be confirmed at this stage.
The scene is preserved pending the arrival of the Garda Technical Bureau and the office of the State Pathologist has been notified.
