Fatal road traffic collision at Ballineen, Cork on the 23/12/12

Gardaí are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred between 2.00 and 2.30am on 23rd December 2012.

The single car crash happened at Manch Middle, Ballinneen, Co. Cork and resulted in the death of a 32 year old female front seat passenger in the car. 
 
The driver and only other occupant, a man in his 30s, was removed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital.  His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
 
The road that the scene is closed, pending an examination by Garda forensic collision investigators. Diversions are in place.
