A man in his early 30's is due to be charged in relation to the murder of Shane Geoghegan aged 28 years who was murdered in the early hours of the 9th November 2008.
The man will appear at the Special Criminal Court at 9.30a.m. this morning the 17th August, 2012.
The investigation was carried out by local detective units in Roxboro Road and Henry Street Garda Stations assisted by the National Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

Body - believed to have suffered gunshot wounds
Gardai at Roxboro Road, Limerick are investigating the circumstances surrounding the discovery of a man's body in an open area at the Kiltearagh housing estate, Limerick at approximately 1.45am today (9/11/08).
The man is believed to have suffered gunshot wounds. His body remains at the scene.
The scene is sealed off pending a technical examination by Garda technical experts.
The identity and age of this man is unknown at this stage.
