Gardaí at Naas are seeking assistance from members of the public into an incident involving the hijacking at gun point of a black Range Rover 4 X 4 vehicle (07-WW registration) from Eadestown, Naas, Co. Kildare at approximately 6 p.m. yesterday, Wednesday 1st August 2012.
The vehicle is believed to have travelled from Eadestown towards Rathmore with three males and was recovered a short time later at Abbeywood Court, Lucan, Co. Dublin.
Investigating Gardaí are seeking assistance from any member of the public that observed the Range Rover travelling between Eadestown and Lucan between 6 p.m. and 6.30 p.m. on 1st August 2012.
Prior to the hijacking of the vehicle, a red VW Golf (08-LS registration) was stolen at 4 p.m. from the G.A.A. grounds in Durrow, Co. Laois. The raiders used this car to travel to Eadestown and Gardaí are seeking information in relation to the movement of this car between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. on 1st August 2012.
The red Golf is also believed to be involved in a burglary at Graney West, Castledermot, Co. Kildare between 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. on 1st August 2012.
