Fatal road traffic collision on the N20, Cork on the 25/4/12

A woman in her 20's has been fatally injured following a road traffic collision on the N20 Cork to Mallow Road close to the junction for Grenagh village.

The incident occurred shortly before 7.30 am when the woman's car was in collision with a truck.  The woman was taken to Cork University Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

 
The road at the scene of the crash is closed pending an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and is not expected to re-open before noon today.
