Gardai are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision which occurred this evening on the M8 at Junction 10 Cahir.
At approximately 6.10pm an articulated lorry travelling northbound left the motorway and collided with an embankment before coming to a stop in a field.
The driver, a 32 year old male, was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to South Tipperary General Hospital, Clonmel for a post-mortem examination.
The motor-way has been reduced to one lane for traffic travelling northbound at Junction 10 and Gardai are at the scene.
