Gardai have seized drugs with an estimated street value of up to €240,000 in Meath this afternoon following a planned operation targeting the activities of a North Dublin criminal gang.
Gardai from the Organised Crime Unit stopped two vans on the N2 at Kentstown at approximately 1.30pm today. Cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €84,000 (pending analysis) was seized and two males arrested. The two males in their 30’s are currently detained in Finglas garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
In a follow up search at a dwelling in Navan this afternoon a further quantity of cannabis herb with an estimated street value of up to €156,000 (pending analysis) was seized and a third male arrested. This male who is in his 40’s is detained at Kells garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
