Drug seizure Co. Longford

Gardai from the Longford/Roscommon Divisional Drug Unit searched a house in Ballinamuck, Longford yesterday evening the 5th April 2012.

During the search of the house Gardai discovered 200 cannabis plants with an approximate street value of €80,000(pending analysis).

A male in his 20's was arrested and detained at Longford Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended. He was released on the afternoon of the 6th April 2012 without charge and investigations are ongoing. The house was sealed off for a technical examination.
