Gardaí in Dundalk have arrested a 30 year old male in connection with the Murder of Seamus McMahon on the 21st March 2010 at Bothar Chroinn, Dundalk, Co. Louth.
The male was arrested in Drogheda, Co. Louth this morning (6/9/11) and is currently being detained at Drogheda Garda Station under the provisions of Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007 as amended
This is the third person to be arrested in connection with the investigation into the murder of Seamus McMahon.

Garda are investigating a shooting incident in Dundalk, Co. Louth on the 21st March 2010 at about 7p.m.
Two men entered a house at Saltown, Dundalk and shot another man aged in his 40’s. The injured man has was taken to Our lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda, with a suspected gunshot wound to the side. He subsequently died from his injuries.
Gardai believe the suspected offenders may have left the scene in a white Toyota Corolla hatchback. Anyone with information is asked to contact Dundalk Garda Station on 042 9388400.

Shooting incident at Dundalk, Louth on the 21/3/10 - Witness appeal
Gardai investigating a fatal shooting at Bóthar Crinn, Saltown, Dundalk on the 21st March 2010 are asking witnesses to contact them.
Gardai are particularly interested in the occupants of a white hatchback car, possibly a Toyota Corolla or a Nissan Almera which was seen nearby around the time of the shooting (shortly before 7 p.m). Gardai believe that up to three men were involved in the incident. Two entered the house and the third waited in the white hatchback.
The men who entered the house were described a tall and wearing dark coloured hooded tops. When they left the house they jumped the back wall into the garden of another house and exited at the front of the houses. They then jumped a stone wall on the Bellewsbridge Road, where the white car was waiting. This car then drove in the direction of the Fatima/Toberona Estate.
A post mortem examination on the body of the dead man, aged 41 years, began at 1p.m. The man was married with a teenaged son.
