Fatal house fire in Ballymote, Sligo on the 9/9/11

Gardaí in Ballymote, Co. Sligo are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal fire at a house in Marren Park, Ballymote.

The fire was discovered at approximately 5.45am this morning (9/9/11).  A 38 year old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, there were no other occupants in the house.

The woman’s body remains at the scene and is expected to be removed to Sligo General Hospital later this morning.

The scene is currently preserved pending a Garda technical examination.
