Drug seizure on the M9 Kildare on the 19/9/11

Gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped a truck on the M9 Kildare on Monday, the 19th September 2011, the truck was transported back to Dublin Port where it was searched by Gardai and Customs.

During the course of the search Gardai seized approx 300 kilos of cannabis resin/herb approx value €1.7million (subject to analysis).

 
One male 33yrs was arrested and is being detained in Store Street Garda station under the provisions of Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 as amended.
