Gardaí at Macroom investigating the death of a 42 year old man last night, Thursday 15th September 2011, arrested a man in connection with the investigation.
He is 30 years of age and is presently detained at Bandon under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The post mortem is still scheduled for 9.30am this morning.

Gardaí at Macroom are investigating the discovery of the body of a 42 year old man at a house in Masseystown, Macroom, Co. Cork, at approximately 10am this morning, Thursday 15th September 2011.
The scene of the discovery has been examined by assistant state pathologist Margaret Bolster and she will conduct a post mortem at Cork University Hospital tomorrow morning at 9.30am.
