Fatal Road Traffic Collision Belmullet Co Mayo 19th Oct 2011
Gardaí in Belmullet are investigating a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred today the 19th October 2011in Belmullet Co Mayo.
The collision occurred at approx 11.50am on the 19th Oct 2011 on the Belmullet to Blacksod road at Binghamstown when the driver(59yrs), the sole occupant of the car collided with a wall. He was taken to Mayo General Hospital, Castlebar where he was pronounced dead. No one else was injured in the collision.
The road is closed to facilitate a forensic collision investigation and due to reopen later this evening.
