Fatal road traffic collision in Cork City on the 7/10/11

Gardai at Anglesea Street are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision at Parnell Place, Cork.

At approximately 4.50pm a 66 year old female pedestrian was seriously injured when she was struck by a bus.  She was pronounced dead at the scene.  A post-mortem examination is due to be carried out at Cork University Hospital tomorrow morning. 

Forensic collision investigators attended the scene which has since re-opened to traffic.
