Gardaí in Boyle, Roscommon investigating a fatal house fire on the 3rd October 2011 have arrested a man in his 30’s in connection with this investigation.
The man was arrested in Co Sligo this morning (11/10/11) and is currently detained at Boyle Garda Station under Section 4 Criminal Justice Act.
Investigations are ongoing.

Garda investigating the fatal house fire in Boyle on the 3rd October have arrested a female in her early 30’s this evening (06.10.11) in the Boyle area.
The female is currently detained at Boyle Garda Station under the provisions of Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
The male arrested on the 5th of October remains in Custody.

Garda investigating the fatal house fire in Boyle on the 3rd October believe that the fire was started maliciously. They have arrested a male in his 30’s this afternoon in the Sligo area.
The male is currently being detained at Boyle Garda Station under the Provisions of Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardai are now treating the fatal fire at a house at Termon Road, Boyle, Co Roscommon as suspicious. The fire was discovered between 2.30 and 3.00 am on the 3rd October 2011.
A man in his late 20's and two children escaped from the house. They are being treated at Sligo General Hospital.
The scene is currently being examined by the Garda Technical Bureau and the Deputy State Pathologist Dr. Jabber will carry out a post mortem examination on the body of the deceased girl this evening at Sligo General Hospital.
Gardai are appealing for anyone who was in the Termon Road area of Boyle or anyone with any information about this incident to contact the incident room at Boyle Garda Station on 071 9664620.

Gardai are investigating a fatal fire at a house at Termon Road, Boyle, Co Roscommon. The fire was discovered between 2.30 and 3.00 am on the 3rd of October 2011. A five year old girl was killed in the fire.
A man believed to be in his 40's and two other children aged 3 and 4 escaped from the house. They have been taken to Sligo General Hospital.
The house is sealed off pending the arrival of Garda crime scene examiners. An examination of the scene will be carried out later this morning.
