Gardai in Fitzgibbon Street are investigating an explosion under a 4x4 on Holycross Avenue, Dublin 3 at approx. 1.45am on the 13th October 2011.
The vehicle was damaged but no one was injured in the incident. The Army Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit from Rathmines attended the scene. Investigations are ongoing.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information in particular anyone who was on Clonliffe Road, Holy Cross Avenue, Jones Road and surrounding areas and noticed unusual or suspicious behaviour between 10 p.m. on the 12th October and 2 a.m. on 13th October to contact at Mountjoy Garda Station, Phone 6668600, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda station
