A man age in his 40's is expected to appear before a sitting of Carlow District Court this morning (6/10/2011) charged in relation to a seizure of drugs in Kildare on the 4th October 2011.
A second male aged in his 50's has been released without charge.

Gardai have arrested two men, one in his 40's and the other in his 50's, and seized a quantity drugs near Kildare town at about 8.00 p.m. on the 4th October 2011.
Gardai stopped a van on the M7 close to Kildare town where they discovered 3.5kgs of cocaine and 10kgs of cannabis resin. The drugs, subject to analysis, have a street value €315,000.
The two men, who are Irish nationals, were arrested at the scene and are detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at Carlow Garda Station.
