Gardai investigating the murder of John Kenny on the 25th of September 2011 have arrested three males this morning.
One is 17 and the other two are in their 20’s and 30’s. They were arrested in the Galway area following planned searches and are currently detained in Galway Garda Station, Mill Street under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act ( 2) and Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act (1) .

A man in his late 30s will appear at a special sitting of Galway District Court tomorrow Sunday the 2nd October 2011 at 12 noon. This man remains in custody at Galway Garda Station.

Gardai in Oughterard, Co. Galway investigating the murder of John Kenny on the 25th September 2011 in Oughterard have arrested a male in his late 30's.
He was arrested in Galway city this evening the 28th Sept 2011 and is being detained in Mill St Garda station, Galway under the provisions of section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939 as amended.

A Post Mortem Examination had been carried out on the deceased man, 56 year old John Kenny and the rusults show that he died as a result of an assault.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them at Oughterard Garda Station. Anyone with information should contact 091 557320 or any Garda Station.
