Gardai are investigating the circumstances of a serious assault at Uppercross Court, Old Blessington Road, Tallaght.
At approximately 8pm a 40 year old male was taken by Ambulance to Tallaght Hospital with serious injures following an incident in an apartment at Uppercross Court.
The scene is preserved for a technical examination.
A man aged in his 40's and a woman aged in her 30's were arrested at the scene and are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at Tallaght Garda Station.
