Gardai in Bruff are investigating the circumstances of a single vehicle fatal road traffic collision on the Cappamore to Doon Road Limerick on the 17th November 2011.
The collision occurred at approximately 4.15pm on the R505 when a car collided with a tree. The female driver (58yrs) (the sole occupant of the car) was seriously injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her body has been taken to Mid-western Hospital in Limerick.
The road is currently closed to facilitate a forensic collision examination and local diversions are in place.
