Fatal road traffic Collision at Arva, Cavan on the 16/11/11

Gardai are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Coronea, Arva, Co Cavan on the 16th of November 2011.

At approximately 19.50 hours a female pedestrian aged in her 60's was seriously injured when she was struck by a motor car.  She was taken by ambulance to Cavan General Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The R198 at Coronea, Arva, is closed pending a technical examination and traffic diversions are in place.
