Gardaí in Carrick-On-Shannon are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Corraneary, Aughavas, Co. Leitrim.
The single vehicle (car) collision occurred at approximately 2.10am this morning (22/5/11). There were two male occupants in the car, a 20 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene. A second man (21yrs) received minor injuries.
The road remains closed at present to facilitate a forensic examination.
