Fatal road traffic collision at Drunahane, Cork on the 12/3/11

An 80 year old man has died following a traffic collision in Co. Cork.

The man was struck by a car as he crossed the road at Dromahane Cross, Dromore, Drunahane.  The incident happened at about 9.30 p.m. on the 12th March.  The man was removed by ambulance from the scene to Cork University Hospital, he died in the early hours of this morning and the collision is under investigation.
