Gardai in Adare, Co Limerick are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision on the N21 at Monearla, Co Limerick on the 17th June 2011.
The collision involving 2 cars occurred at approximately 6.10pm on the 17th June 2011 on the Adare to Limerick rd (4 miles outside Limerick city). A male driver 53 yrs was seriously injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. A female passenger in the first car and the driver of the second car have been taken to the Regional Hospital in Limerick, their injuries ar not believed to be life threatening.
The road is closed to facilitate a Forensic Collision Examination. Diversions are in place. Witnesses are asked to contact the Gardai in Adare on 061 396216 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111.
