Four of the people arrested (3 male, 1 female) have been charged in relation to this operation and will appear before Blanchardstown District Court tomorrow morning, Friday 24th June 2011, at 10.30am.
Another man out of the eight arrested will appear at the same court sitting charged in relation to a separate matter.
The remaining three that were arrested have been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Drug seizure Celbridge 21st June 2011
As part of an intelligence led operation members of An Garda Siochana from the Organised Crime Unit assisted by the Garda National Drugs Unit stopped 2 cars in Celbridge shortly after 4.30pm today the 21st June 2011. During the course of the search of the cars Gardai discovered 30 Kilos of cannabis herb(subject to analysis) with a street value of approximately €360,000. Four men were arrested, all four are being detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996, two (49 and 45 yrs) in Lucan and two(43 and 22yrs) in Leixlip.
During the course of a follow up search of an apartment in Adamstown a further 25 kilos of Cannabis herb(subject to analysis) was found with a street value of €300,000. A further three men(40,41 and 32yrs) and a female(38yrs) were arrested and are being detained under the provisions of section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
Two are being detained in Clondalkin and two in Ballyfermot.
