As part of ongoing operations into the activities of dissident republicans Gardai attached to the Special Detective Unit, The Emergency Response Unit and Crime and Security assisted by local units from the Louth-Meath Division have arrested two males at a House in Hackballscross this afternoon (25.06.11)
It was at approximately 1pm following searches of the house and outhouses.
The two males in their 50’s are currently detained at Balbriggan and Drogheda Garda Stations under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act 1939.
The area around the house is currently sealed off pending the arrival of the Army EOD.
