Man charged in relation to shooting incident Balla Co Mayo 31 May 2011
Gardai in Castlebar investigating a shooting at Balla, Co Mayo on the 31st May 2011 have this evening the 2nd May 2011 charged a male(47yrs) in connection with the incident and he will appear before Ballina District Ct at 10.30am tomorrow morning the 3rd of May 2011.

Gardai investigating a shooting incident in Co Mayo earlier this evening have this arrested a male aged in his 40s.
He is currently detained at Castlebar Garda Station under Section 30 of the Offences against the State Act, 1939.

Gardai at Casltebar are investigating the circumstances of a shooting incident which occurred at Balla, Co. Mayo, on the 31/5/2011.
At approximately 1830 hours a middle aged woman was seriously injured when she was shot by a lone gunman at a shop on Main St. Balla. She was taken by ambulance to Mayo General Hospital.
The scene has been preserved pending a full technical examination and shotgun used in the incident has been recovered. Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact the incident room at Castlebar Garda station.
