Gardai in Donegal town are investigating the circumstances of a fatal road traffic collision which occurred outside the town at approx 9.40am on the 18th July 2011.
The collision involved two cars occurred on the Donegal town to Ballyshannon Road (approx. 3km outside Donegal town) the driver and sole occupant of one car, a female 26yrs, was fatally injured in the collision and was pronounced dead at the scene. She was removed to Letterkenny General Hospital.
The two females in the othe car were also injured and taken to Letterkenny General hospital but their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The road is closed and diversions are in place.
