Gardai in Blanchardstown investigating the murder of a male following the discovery of his body in a field close to Bellgree Avenue, Tyrellstown, Dublin 15 wish to renew their appeal for assistance from the public.
Gardai arrested a male in his late 30’s shortly after 1pm today (14.01.11) in the Blanchardstown area. He is currently detained at Blanchardstown Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The body has been removed to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown. A post-mortem being conducted by the State Pathologist Dr. Marie Cassidy is currently ongoing.
Gardai are asking anyone who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in the last 7 days in the area near Bellgree Avenue or the nearby playing-fields to contact Blanchardstown Garda Station on 01-6667000 or the Garda Confidential Line on 1800-666-111.
