Gardai have seized drugs with an estimated street value of up to €500,000 and arrested 2 males following an intelligence lead operation in Dublin on the 18/1/11.
Gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit assisted by local Gardai from Clondalkin Garda Station stopped two cars close to Newlands Cross in Clondalkin this afternoon. A large quantity of cannabis herb, subject to analysis, was discovered in the cars and two males in their 30’s were arrested at the scene. Both males are currently detained at Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.
In a follow up operation Gardai from the Garda National Drugs Unit assisted by local Gardai from Blanchardstown Garda Station, searched an apartment and a van in the Clonsilla area and recovered a further quantity of cannabis herb along with cannabis resin and cocaine (subject to analysis).
