Fatal road traffic collision at Silliot Hill, Kildare on the 12/1/11

Gardaí at Kildare are investigating a fatal road traffic collision which occurred at Silliot Hill, Kildare at approximately 7.30am this morning (Wednesday, 12th January 2011).

A 59 year old male pedestrian was fatally injured when he was struck by a car.  His body has been removed to Naas General Hospital.

The road is currently closed pending a Garda technical examination.
