Drug seizure and arrest in Carlow on the 3rd January 2011

As part of an ongoing investigation Gardai have seized a quantity of drugs and arrested a man following the search of a house earlier today, the 3/1/11 in the Carlow area.

Gardai from the Carlow Detective Unit assisted by the Dog Unit seized cannabis with an estimated street value of €200,000, subject to analysis, during the course of the search.

A man aged in his 20's was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996, at Carlow Garda Station.
