A man in his late 20s will appear at a special sitting of Youghal District Court at 6.30pm on the 15th January 2011.
He is being charged in connection to the death of Michael O 'Shea.

Gardai investigating the death of Michael O' Shea have arrested a man in his late 20s. The man was arrested this morning the 14th of January 2011 in the Cobh area of Cork. He is detained at Midleton Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

Gardai at Youghal Co Cork are investigating a fire at a flat on North Main St which resulted in the death of a 32 year old male at approx 2.30am 13-01-11.
Limerick Fire Service were alerted at approx 2.30am and local Gardai attended the scene.
The scene is currently preserved for technical examination and the body is still at the scene.
The state Pathologist is expected some time this morning.

Gardai in Youghal investigating the discovery of a body of a male in a house
Gardai in Youghal, Co Cork are investigating the murder of Michael O Shea(31yrs) 85 North Main St, Youghal following the discovery of his body in his apartment after a fire was attended to by Cork Fire brigade on North Main Street, Youghal at approx 2.30am this morning on the 13th January 2011.
The scene is preserved and is being technically examined. Mr O Shea’s body was removed to Cork University Hospital where a Post Mortem is being carried out by Dr Margaret Bolster.
Gardai are appealing for witnesses who may have information relating to
the movements of the deceased prior to 10pm on the 12th Jan 2011.
Suspicious or unusual activity around 85 North Main Street Youghal between the hours of 10pm on the 12th to 2.30am on the 13th Jan 2011.
Any person who may be in possession of any information regarding the death
