Plane crash at Cork Arport on the 10/2/11

At 9.50 a.m. on the 10th February 2011 a Manx Airline, Fairchild Metor Liner, flight number BPS 7100, a scheduled daily flight from Belfast to Cork crashed attempting to land at Cork Airport.

There were ten (10) passengers and two (2) pilots onboard.  Six people were killed in the crash and six injured were removed to Cork University Hospital.

A casualty information bureau has been set up at the airport telephone number 021 4328820.

A press briefing will be held at Cork Airport at 12.30 p.m.
