As part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of dissident Republicans, Gardai from The Special Detective Unit, assisted by local Gardaí from Wexford, arrested a male 21 yrs following the search of a house at Barnstown, Wexford on the morning of the 18th February 2011.
This man will appear before The Special Criminal Ct, CCJ Parkgate St.at 7pm this evening the 19th Feb 2011.

As part of an ongoing investigation into the activities of dissident Republicans, members of the Garda Special Detective Unit, assisted by local Gardaí from Wexford, arrested a male in his early 20’s, following the search of a house at Barnstown, Co Wexford this morning (18/2/11) at 8a.m.<_o3a_p>
During the course of the search, component parts which could be used in the assembly of improvised explosive devices (IED’s) were seized.<_o3a_p>
The man is currently detained at Wexford Garda Station under Section 30 Offences against the State Act 1939. <_o3a_p>
Investigations are continuing.<_o3a_p>
